The 2013 Marsannay Village has a pleasant blackcurrant and cassis bouquet ? light and airy. The palate is crisp on the entry with a citric line of acidity, pinched blackberry and blueberry fruit toward the finish. Not bad for a Village Cru, but a more benevolent vintage would have yielded more substance.
