The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin La Platière comes from a new parcel, this cuvée debuting with the 2019 vintage. It has a commendable nose, a mixture of red and black fruit, light loamy scents percolate through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with finer tannins and better balance than Gros' Nuits SaintGeorges, harmonious with a precise, minerally finish. Very fine.
