Fresh ruby-red. Very tight nose hints at dark fruits and espresso. Juicy and sharply delineated, with tangy, intense berry and mineral flavors. These vines are situated high up the slope, and I'm not sure I would have picked this vibrant wine as a 2003. Finishes very long and bright, with lingering berry fruit.
