The malolactics had finished on the 2012 Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Fichots, which comes from the domaine’s 0.5-hectares parcel from vines planted in 1977 and 1985. Seeing no new oak, it has an inviting, fleshy bouquet with raspberry jam and crushed strawberry scents. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded tannins on the entry. The acidity is nicely judged, although it is just missing the complexity on the foursquare, classic finish.
