Tasted blind at Flint Wines’ 2007/2012 Nuits Saint-Georges tasting in London. I remember the 2007 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos de la Mar?chale showing gloriously in its youth but like so many, it appears to have peaked early. Here, it has lilting red cherry and strawberry fruit on the nose, nicely defined if not the most complex on the block. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly dry tannin like the Clos des For?ts from Domaine de l'Arlot; conservative and masculine with orange rind and black pepper towards the austere finish. Drink soon. Tasted November 2016.
