The 2011 Batard-Montrachet is beautifully focused in the glass. White pears, marzipan and graphite emerge over time, but only with great reluctance. This is far from a typical, extroverted Batard, but rather a wine of energy, focus and brilliance. Today, the Batard is naturally holding back quite a bit of its potential and power, but it is fabulous all the same
