The 2018 Roman?e-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru is showing brilliantly, unfurling in the glass with a youthfully reserved bouquet of rose petals, raspberries, sweet soil tones, bergamot, smoked tea and musk. Full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, it's deep and concentrated, with a tightly wound core, lively acids and supple, powdery tannins, concluding with a resonant finish. This is Roman?e-Saint-Vivant at its most elegant and sensual, and even if a decade of bottle age is in order, its superb quality is already glaringly apparent.
